Johnson & Johnson (J&J) was heavily criticized when it hired BroadSpire Services Inc. to handle the DePuy hip replacement recall. Some critics claimed that to cut down on the expenses entailed in facing all complaints filed following the recall, DePuy is outsourcing the handling of the recall. J&J claimed that the recall will not have a material adverse effect on its finances; however, this may not be the case anymore with some artificial joint manufacturers talking of offshoring in wake of ... recipients resulting in the hip replacement recall.
A series of studies conducted by foreign joint registries then
prompted DePuy Orthopaedics to recall their products. Now, it would

In
August 2010, Johnson & Johnson subsidiary, DePuy Orthopaedics
issued a voluntary recall of two of their hip replacement devices,
the ASR XL Acetabular System and the ASR Hip Resurfacing System. Sold

tissue, bone and sinew. It took joint registries from other countries
to find out this data... Continue reading...
